Choose one leading cause of mortality or morbidity (other than the one you researched) and answer the following 1. Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body 2. Explain how it effects the persons social development 3. What determinant could be a risk factor linked to the person getting the disease/condition
1. Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. There is no cure for the disease, but it slowly gets worse, and leads to death. Alzheimer’s is more commonly known occurring for adults aged 65+. It is a broad term used to describe a loss of memory, intellect, rationality, social skills and physical functioning.
2. Explain how it effects the persons social development
It can effect someones social development because it causes memory loss which can affects someone socializing abillity.
3. What determinant could be a risk factor linked to the person getting the disease/condition

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Alzheimer’s is more commonly known occurring for adults aged 65 plus. There is no medice to help this disease get better or to keep it steady and reduce side effects.. once you have dementure you cant loose it, it effects your intellect and effects majority of the things you say do and think.
Explain how it effects the persons social development
socially you become very weird and rational , nobody wants to be around you because you seem to be dumb.

Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body
-Alzheimer’s disease is the most common in Late Adulthood, it invloves around the ages 65 and above till death. There is no medice to help this disease get better or to keep it steady and reduce side effects. Once you have dementure you cant lose it, it effects your intellect health & development and effects majority of how your brain and body function.
Explain how it effects the persons social development
- Socially you become very nervous and shakey, nobody wants to be around you because you seem to be different than others, therefor you will have a bad social health.

1. Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body
Breast Cancer is the infection of a cell which can effect the body because it might spread from the breast in to bones, the liver and the lungs causing dysfunction in these organs.
2. Explain how it effects the persons social development
If a person is diagonsed with breast cancer it may effect their social development by the person spending lots of time in hospital missing out on social experiences and meeting/socialising with new people
3. What determinant could be a risk factor linked to the person getting the disease/condition
In some cases certain cell growth can cause cancers. Cell growth is a genetic risk factor

1. Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body.
Cardiovascular disease is the result of the build-up of plaques in the blood vessels and heart. As a result of these plaques, the blood vessels thicken, making it difficult for blood to get to various parts of your body. This damage can lead to heart attack, stroke, or death. Cardiovascular disease will also cause fatigue, weakness, chest pain, and being short of breath
2. Explain how it effects the persons social development
This can affect the persons social development as they are unable to compete in strenuous exercise meaning they may not be able to be apart of sporting teams as they will be feeling fatigue and short of breath.
3. What determinant could be a risk factor linked to the person getting the disease/condition.
Behavioural determinant can be a risk factor as drinking alcohol excessively and smoking tobacco can cause cardiovascular diseases.

Lung Cancer
Mainly occurs in smokers and is when and uncontrollable cell growth (tumor) starts growing and deteriorates the lungs, if left untreated it can spread and can be fatal, high mortality rates of lung cancer
It affects the social development of the person by them not being able to go out anymore whether they are in hospital or at home, they will immediately feel short of breath and therefor not be able to develop the communication skills in order to have a conversation with people without feeling short of breath
Can be linked to behavioural as smoking is known as the main cause of lung cancer as it harms the lungs dramatically

Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is a lump in the prostate gland created by abnormal and uncontrolled growth of cells.
The prostate forms part of the male reproductive system that produces fluid for semen.
It can affect a person's social development because if they get the disease, they would be spending less time out and about socialising with friends and family, and more time getting treatment and therapy for the cancer. If someone has prostate cancer they may not have the energy to go out and might be feeling down and wanting time in isolation and solitude. This would cause a breakdown in social skills and would hinder how well they adapt to later social circumstances in life. A risk factor could be biological - genetics, as if prostate cancer is in someones family, they are more likely to get the disease. This is a risk factor

Breast Cancer is the cancer that forms in tissues of the breast. The most common type of breast cancer is ductal carcinoma, which begins in the lining of the milk ducts. It can spread from the breast in to bones which is very deadly
If a person is diagonsed with breast cancer it may effect their social development as the person with this disease will be away from friends and family alot due to time in hospital getting treatment
In some cases certain cell growth can cause cancers. Cell growth is a genetic risk factor

1. Explain the disease or condition and how it effects the body-
melanoma is a malignant skin cancer that stems from the pigment cells of the skin (the cells that cause freckles, brown tan, etc) the cancer can get into the blood stream and spread through out the body pretty easily.
2. Explain how it effects the persons social development-
social development can be adversly affected by the treatment required to keep melanoma under control. an affected individual will undergo several rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other kinds of therapy to try to control the cancer, this will result in the patient felling too ill to socialise with their normal peers and not developing their social skills.
3. What determinant could be a risk factor linked to the person getting the disease/condition
behavioural.

1. Breast cancer is a tumour in the breast caused by an abnormal and uncontrolled growth of cells. One in 11 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 75
2. Spending time in hospital will reduce ability to communicate and socialise with friends and family
3. If Breast Cancer is common genetically for your family then its a risk factor

Melanoma
1, Melanoma develops when skins cells become abnormal, grow uncontrollably and affect surrounding skin tissues. It can spread through the body quite easily.
2. The amount of treatment procedures the patient will have to go through to keep the cancer under control/removed will lead to less time to socialise with peer, also the patient may not feel well enough to do so even if he/she does have time.
3. Behavioural. If a person does the right things by listening to warnings and wearing a hat and sunscreen, staying in the shade he/she will definitely be less likely to get the cancer.
